Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Briefr mobile application and any related services (collectively, the “Service”) operated by Briefr (“we”, “us”, “our”). Briefr is not intended for use in safety-critical environments, for legal or medical proceedings, or in any context where transcript accuracy is mission-critical without independent verification.

4. User Content

You retain full ownership of all audio recordings, transcripts, and summaries you create through the Service (“User Content”). By using the Service you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to process your User Content solely to provide and improve the Service as described in our Privacy Policy.

You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to record any conversation and that doing so complies with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction, including any consent requirements for recording third parties.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Record conversations without the legally required consent of all participants.

  • Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or overload our systems.
  • Circumvent or attempt to bypass any security or authentication measures.
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.

6. Intellectual Property

The Briefr name, logo, app design, and all underlying software are the exclusive property of Briefr and are protected by intellectual property laws. 7. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers for speech recognition, AI summarisation, analytics, and infrastructure. Your use of the Service is also subject to those providers’ terms where applicable. We are not responsible for the actions, content, or policies of any third-party service.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
